Wanda Faye Glenn of Las Cruces, N.M. and formerly of Tahoka, TX departed this life on Friday, August 3, 2012 at the age of 80. Wanda was born June 2, 1932 in Elmore City, OK to Eugene and Jewell (Ray) Tomlinson. The family moved to Tahoka when Wanda was twelve years old. Wanda attended Tahoka High and married George Glenn November 1, 1949 in Lubbock. They went on to make their home in Tahoka where they raised their children and remained involved in the community. Wanda's fondest memories are of her times spent with her children while they were involved in many school activities. Wanda was a member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for several years. Wanda also enjoyed playing golf with her local women's golf association, cooking, gardening, and playing dominoes.
In 2010, the couple moved to Las Cruces. After moving, Wanda attended Mesilla Park Community Church. She had caring neighbors and friends and loved to share her delicious desserts with them. Wanda also enjoyed trips to Ruidoso, Phoenix, and Sedona, AZ, Ft. Worth and New Orleans.
Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Michael Glenn and wife Lori, David Glenn and wife Tracey; daughters, Anita White and husband Billy, Karen Sue Thurman and husband Mitch; grandchildren, Rachel Glenn, Ryan Glenn, Jared Glenn, Brianna Hardin, Krysta Myers, Joshua White and wife Becky, Sarah White, Daniel Pulattie and wife Melinda, Joel Pulattie, and Melissa Riley and husband Mathew. Wanda is also survived by her sister, Shirley Jenkins and husband Bill; brother, Wayne Tomlinson; three sister-in-laws; several nieces and nephews; and eight great- grandchildren.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Glenn on July 2, 2011; granddaughter, Shelly Shearer; sister, Carol Henry; and brother, Bobby Tomlinson.
