Douglas Otis Sinclair of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the age of 72. He was born May 14, 1948 in Lubbock to Malcolm and Janiece (Brannan) Sinclair. Drafted from high school, Douglas joined the United States Marine Corp, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. Some of his many honors include the National Defense Service Metal, Vietnam Service and Campaign Metal, and Combat Action Ribbon. He married Sharon Wood on November 25, 1968.

After honorable discharge in 1970, Douglas moved back to Lubbock with his wife. Over the next 30 years he would wear many different hats. He was a loving and caring husband, father, brother and friend. He loved his family, country and was proud to be a Marine and to have served his country.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 52 years, Sharon; daughters, Melissa Etchegaray of Burleson and Christina (Tina) Sinclair of Lubbock; siblings, Leonna Christina (Chris) Whipple and husband Johnny of Lubbock; grandchildren, Jessica Terris and husband Garrett, Colby Weber, Dani Etchegaray, Caleb Etchegaray and Courtney Sinclair; and great grandchildren, Jazaniyah and JJ Moreno and Asia and Ashtyn Martinez.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
