I was so sorry to hear of Gerald's passing. I met Gerald at the gym at Luna Community College about 5 years ago. He was always friendly and I truly enjoyed our conversations. He will be missed by many at the gym. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace my friend. 🙏

Gerald was such an awesome man. I'm so thankful for the few times I got to hang out with him. Gerald called me 2weeks ago but I never thought that would have been the last time we spoke. I will miss him and all of his words of wisdom!

I meet Gerald over ten years ago. He was riding up the road on his four- wheeler, he said " Come up to the house. He was man , I truly respect. He helped me on all my projects on my property. I don't know how I will get on without him. I getting tear up typing this message. I have always felt that Trumbell canyon was Gerald's mountain. I will never forget him. He told me that life is to short so get it done. I love you Gerald. We will meet again.😇

I miss you already Gerald and it breaks my heart that the next time we enter Trumbell Canyon in New Mexico you won't be there. Seeing this picture of you with your big white dog (pretty sure he didn't have a name purposefully, so he wouldn't get attached to you) brought back the memory of the first time Bill and I met you driving into the canyon, had just bought our 10 acres on the mountain next to you and you were out walking with the dog, he strolled up to my window wanting lovin and we all struck up a conversation, you invited us up to your cabin where we began a 10+ year friendship. So many great visits - sitting at your dining room table telling bear stories, actually seeing and rescuing a baby bear abandoned and alone. I recall you saying as we were putting the steaks on the grill, "Bill, I baited you a bear" and you pointed the flashlight out to where you had laid the yummy cantaloupe for the little fella. We are so thankful that we were able to meet you in the canyon in late October but we didn't believe it would be our last goodbye. You have no idea how much you will be missed my dear friend - love you to pieces and hopefully we will see you on the other side.
