Pancho M. Hernandez of Lubbock departed this life on August 26, 2010 at the age of 78 years. He was born in Calvert, TX on May 4, 1932 to the late Trinidad & Sabastiana (Mojica) Hernandez. He was preceded in death by his wife Guadalupe Zapata Hernandez June 20, 2001. Pancho owned and operated a fire extinguisher business and worked for a number of companies before retiring from the Texas Department of Transportation. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
His memory will be cherished by two sons of Lubbock, Frank Hernandez, Jr. and wife Frances, and Isaac Hernandez; three daughters, Refugia Nombrana and husband Mike and Rita Ramos and husband Joe, all of Lubbock, and Delores Diaz and husband Edggar of Colorado; one sister, Lillie Caballero of Waco; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Pancho was preceded in death by his wife; his granddaughter Christina Nombrana in 2000; four sisters, and one brother. Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 27, 2010 at White Memorial Chapel. Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2010 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the City of Lubbock.

My condolences to the Hernandez Family, During this time of great sorrow, may it comfort you to know that others are deeply touched by your loss. I too know the pain of losing someone dear. Even though our hearts are broken, rest assure that our Grand Creator cares about you personally (1Peter5:7) and can help you through this difficult time. Revelation 21:4 speaks of a time soon when God will do away with death forever. There will be no more sorrow, heartache, or pain. May your happy memories and sure scriptural hope comfort your hearts during this painful time.

Please find comfort in knowing that Pancho is resting in the loving arms of God.
