In addition, she is survived by two sisters, Mary Beyers of Dallas, and Juannella Crisp of Amarillo.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, August 04, 2010, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home, 2210 Broadway, Lubbock.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in Carole's honor to VistaCare Hospice, 1717 Norfolk, Lubbock, Texas, 79416.

Dear Duane,
I am so sorry for your loss; I just recently read the obit. of your father. You see, I lived down the street from your father, on Crockett St. in Amarillo, TX., 25 years ago. At that time I was only 26 y.o. and had just delivered my first child. Your father was a very godly man, wonderful neighbor and I will treasure our conversations always. He gave me a $2 bill as a gift for my daughter and it is taped inside her baby book to this day. I don't know if you will receive this, but I did want to attempt to make contact with you and offer my condolences for both your father and your wife. Hayden spoke so fondly of his family; they were his treasure. I appreciate the short time that I knew him; he made quite an impression upon me. He always had time to just sit and chat and I loved hearing his stories. He and Carole, are both waiting for you in heaven I'm sure. Just wanted you to know that someone you never met treasured your father and the mark that he made in my life and this earth.
