Nerva Jewel Sherman, 99 of Lubbock went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, May 1, 2018. She was born April 22, 1919 to the late Samuel Frank and Nerva Francis (Crosby) Lowry in Hollis, Oklahoma. After graduating high school, Nerva got married and had four children. Her main focus was being an evangelist. Nerva owned her own interior design company until retirement.
Those left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Jean Brown, Jo and Husband Eric Spencer, Darlene Caldwell; eight grandchildren, Ronald and wife Leticia Brown, Paula and husband Ron Schaffer, Russell and wife Tina Lyons, Elizabeth and husband Chris Patton, Danyelle Nance, John Paul and wife Debra Caldwell, Sheri Jeffries, and Michael and wife Martha McAlister; twenty-two great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Sammy McAlister; husbands; five brothers; three sisters; and two grandsons, Steven and Chris.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday May 8, 2018 with a celebration of life service being held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Venue on Broadway with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
