Joshua Wright, 15, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, January 27, 2019. Joshua was born January 26, 2004 in Lubbock, Texas. He played percussion in the Lubbock Cooper High School Band. He had a passion for music and loved sharing it with everyone. Joshua was a kind young man who never hesitated to help those in need. He radiated light to everyone around him. His kind heart and warm smile will be greatly missed but always remembered. The overwhelming love and support shown by the Lubbock Cooper High School Band and families of the Cooper community has been a source of comfort for Joshua's family. This outpouring of love has left a lasting impact on Joshua's family.

Joshua is survived by his loving father, Vernon Wright and wife Rachel; his loving mother, Anicia Essex and husband Carlton; siblings, Katie-Beth Wright, Blake Ellis, Cody Wright, Elizabeth Wright and Brooke Elias; grandparents, Kay Wright, Malissa Wright Elliot and husband Steve, Lee and Marsha Rice, Richard and Beth Ellis, Donna and David Essex; great-grandparents, James and Juanita Carpenter; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and four nephews, Jeremiah, Jasiah, Jace and Jaxsen.
