Madeline Louise (Nickerson) Moore, died peacefully in the early afternoon of February 1, 2019, at home with her family.
She was born Madeline Louise Nickerson, on May 6, 1931 at the home of her "Nanny Nick" on Main Street in Chatham, MA. Her parents were Lillian Louise Nickerson and James W. Buckley. She spent her formative years with her grandmother, Ida K. Chase, who she loved dearly. In later childhood she lived in Falmouth, MA with her parents.
After a brief marriage to her first husband, Ray Minor, she married Leonard W. Moore of Texas. They raised their two daughters, Diana and Linda, in Fort Worth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Gladys Genneri.
She is survived by her daughters, Diana Patterson (Edward) of Rockport, TX and Linda Moore ( John Clayton), as well as five grandchildren, Leonard W. Donahew, Gregory Scott Watterson, Amy Cabrera, Misty Hancock and Jorden Patterson; her great grandchildren, Alix Donahew, 2nd Lieutenant USMC Cason Barry, Winston Donahew, Ally Cabrera, Mateo Cabrera, Kaitlyn Hancock, Tanner Watterson, David Garay and Brynn and Graham Patterson; as well as her nephew, John Caton and nieces Marilyn Leggett and Carolyn Hall.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at the home of Linda Moore. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Lubbock or the Alzheimers' Center.
