I am so sorry about the loss of your loved one. I worked with Mr. Luna in Homebound for several years. He was a great man and an excellent teacher. The kids loved Mr. Luna and had high respect for him. He was a man that loved his family. I remember well, hearing about Susan, his daughter, sons and grandkids. They were his life and happiness. He had a sense of humor that kept us all laughing. He was a lot of fun and I will always remember that big smile and his love for life. Sincerely, Pat Hegdal

Many years of great memories working together with the Sting soccer team. Rosenda was truly a good Christian person to work with and a great influence on the boys. One thing I can say, he never argued with the referee. From all reports, he was an outstanding teacher in the Lubbock ISD schools. We enjoyed many good times with the Luna family. R.I.P. Rosenda.

I’ll will always be grateful for how much you believed in your students. I remember one time you told me to “Keep my eyes on the prize...” and I replied,” I have to Mr. Luna I’m a little brown girl from the hood!” You said, “We’ll I promise you you’re the only one who thinks that.” You made me think twice about what my self-perception and the things I was speaking into existence. I appreciate you for seeing more in me than I could see in myself, back then! It’s because of educators like you I had the resilience to graduate and still work hard at a fulfilling life. You were an extraordinary role model. You spoke it and loved it! R.I.P. Mr. Luna... I’m sure you will hear God say, “Well done and Welcome my good and faithful servant!”
