Regina (Armendariz) Garza, 73, of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019. She was born October 7, 1945 in Torreon, Mexico to Fidel and Maria de Jesus (Castillo) Armendariz. Regina married Marcelino F. Garza on February 22, 1964 in Eagle Pass, Texas. She worked for Sodexo for fifteen years before her retirement. Regina was a talented seamstress who loved sewing and crocheting dresses for her dolls as well as for other people. She was a hard worker who enjoyed helping others and spending time with her family. Regina was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister and one daughter.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Marcelino Garza Jr. of Atlanta, Alvino Garza, America E. Garza, Mercedes Garza, Aracely Garza, Virginia Ibarra and Aida Garza all of Lubbock; her sister, Maria A. Castillo of Mexico; her brothers, Alfredo A. Castillo, Lino A. Castillo and Jose Luis A. Castillo all of Mexico; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 1-8 p.m. at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with a Rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church at 1 p.m. with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Mi más sentido pésame a mi esposo, mis cuñadas y cuñado, y en general a toda la familia Garza, hay personas que vienen a dar alegría en esta vida y mi suegra fue una de ellas, fue una alegría para toda la familia, pero todos tenemos un tiempo en esta vida y el tiempo de ella llegó. Tenemos que aceptar su partida y ahora nosotros debemos de recordarla siempre. El recordarla es mantenerla viva y ella siempre vivirá en nuestros corazones. Descanse en Paz y que esté junto a Dios y a su esposo Don Marcelo. La queremos mucho y a todos ustedes también. Mi amor Marcelo te amo, y sigue adelante.
