He was born into a military family on May 23, 1988 at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia. After honorable discharge in 2016, Brandon married his long-time girlfriend, Kaitlyn Hilliard of Lubbock. The couple settled in Ft. To the Opaitz Family, I am sorry for the loss of your son. I knew the family from the 64th SPS where both spouses were assigned. After my discharge from the U.S. Navy, I work at the Base Exchange until it was closed September 1997.

Thank you for your service sir!

My family is praying for everybody in the family. A loss is so hard and we wonder what could we have done different. Live does go on for all of us, should we have called more, should we have sent more cards, should we have gone to visit more. No, we never expect any thing to happen one day to the next. Our guardian angel is there but cannot protect our destiny. We don’t understand this. Remember all the good times. I recently have been getting to know his father Darrin at the Crossroads cooking team, a great guy with direction and leadership. I treasure his friendship. I am sure his son Brandon has many of his talents and was working towards a common goal. Remember these days will pass, enjoy the great moments, Keep your head up high!
