John Carlton Johnson, 55, of Midland passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019. He was born March 22, 1964 in Lubbock, Texas to Eugene and Peggy (Fox) Johnson. John grew up in Shallowater and graduated from Shallowater High School. He was a father who enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. John was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and old cars. He liked making people laugh and going to the lake or bowling. He worked for Odessa Glass and Mirror for 15 years as a glazier before going to work for Don-Nan where he was employed at the time of his passing.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Peggy of Odessa; sons, Dustin Johnson of Midland, Chase Johnson of Shallowater, Tanner (Amy) Johnson of Odessa and Kevin (Jessica) Johnson of Midland; three brothers, David (Donna) Johnson of Seminole, Keith (Lori) Johnson of Orlando and Alan (Carol) Johnson of Midland; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene; nephew Derek Johnson and niece Sarah Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 from 1-8 PM at Combest Family Funeral Homes Chapel with family receiving friends from 5-7 pm. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes of Lubbock.

I cant believe it.
I'm so sorry for your loss boys
I have thought of yall often. I will always love john and you boys. I
Never stopped. Your dad was more of a dad to chance
Kendra and shyenne than their own dad.
He bought kendra her first truck and he went to
Every softball game and tournament, even when I could not go. He
Was a very special man. My kids loved him very much and
Feel like they have lost a dad also. Just know I am always here for you
