David Wayne "Chip" Anderson of Tahoka, formerly of O'Donnell, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the age of 57. He was born June 27, 1962 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Charles and Alice (Raney) Anderson. Chip grew up in Idalou, where he graduated from Idalou High School. He married Terri Vinson on December 18, 1982 in Lubbock. The family made their home in O'Donnell where they were members of the First Baptist Church. He worked for Wells Farmers Coop for more than 25 years. Chip was an avid car enthusiast. He enjoyed showing, racing, and simply "hot rodding".
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Terri; sons, Cody and wife Amanda of O'Donnell and Chris and wife Jennifer of Tahoka; and four grandchildren, Nathan, Caden, Charlie and Brynn.
Chip was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Chuck; and grandson, Blake.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2019 with the family receiving friends 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Combest Family Funeral Homes, Tahoka. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 28, 2019 at First Baptist Church, Tahoka with interment to follow at the O'Donnell Cemetery.
