Brenda May, 62, of Rogers, TX passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born June 22, 1957 to Joe Robert and Vada Vera (Lyles) Parker. After Brenda graduated from New Home High School, she attended South Plains College where she met the love of her life, Carlos Byron May. They married June 9, 1979. They had three children and Brenda took great joy in raising and caring for her family. She loved helping her children with their show animals and was their biggest supporter. After her children were grown, she and Mackenzie opened a home decor boutique in New Home called Dry Land Decor. Brenda also flipped several houses the past few years. She always had a love for decorating and design. She was her happiest when riding with Byron to check cows. You never saw one of them without the other. She was cherished by her five grandchildren and shared birthdays with her youngest granddaughter, Marley May Dorsett. She was a member of Soldiers of the Cross Cowboy Church. Brenda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Byron; her son, Slate May and wife Kaci; daughters, Mackenzie Dorsett and husband Jordan, Macauley Henley and husband Thomas; five grandchildren, Sawyer Lea May, Sutton Laurel May, Kreece Lainey May, Maybree Grey Dorsett and Marley May Dorsett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert Parker; her father and mother-in-law, Carlos and Elaine May.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2019 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Idalou Cemetery.

I remember when you lived in the house beside my Aunt Lala and Uncle Moe and caddie corner to us😊. I also remember how we used to tease you about your dainty running on the basketball court and trying not to break your fingernails to while playing basketball 😂. You were a kind and lovely person and my condolences to your family🙏

I remember Brenda in high school, we had a lot of fun with basketball and football games, on the bus, and at so many school functions. She was always smiling and loved to have fun. She was so proud of their shop in New Home when it opened. And she loved her family so much . She will be missed. Condolences to all of her family and friends.

I have very fond memories of the May family when they moved to Bells Texas. I always thought Brenda was so beautiful and full of life. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. She was a very special lady and I know you will miss her, but she's never really gone. You will find her in each of her children's and grandchildren's faces and in their smiles and laughter.
