Sylvia Lee Grayson, 82, of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. She was born in Waurika, Oklahoma, March 20, 1937, to Irwin and Mary (Sheffield) Evans. Sylvia grew up in the Waurika and graduated from Waurika High School in 1955. She moved from Waurika to Idalou in 1958. Later she resided in Slaton and Lubbock. Sylvia started the Lubbock County Schools Federal Credit Union in May, 1979 and worked there for 37 years before her retirement in April, 2016. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Karen Carr of Florida and Kristi Grayson of Lubbock; one son, Keith Grayson and wife Diann of Idalou; 5 grandchildren, Heather Ham and Jayda Ham of Texas, Traci McDaniel of Idalou, Jimmy Grayson of Sanger, and Dana Lamberth of Bullard; 7 great-grandchildren, Ryland Yochum, Parker Yochum, Hayden Ham, Michael Verett, Billy Jones, Blake Harris, and Garrett Grayson and one great-great grandson, Brendan Verett.

Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2020 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with Celebration of Life services to follow at 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2020 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Waurika, Oklahoma Cemetery.
