Ted Lawrence Carter of Texas, New York and Nevada, passed away on February 6., 2020 after a long illness, at 74 years.
Ted was a veteran of the Vietnam war, serving in the Air Force. He was a visionary, entrepreneur, music lover, and will long be remembered by his friends as a person of generous spirit, lover of life and shopping (“retail therapy”). He shared his infectious laugh with others freely and provoked their edification with his grateful spirit.
He was predeceased by his parent and wife, Carol Mugel Carter. He is survived by twin sister Teresa Hollon, brother Jon Thornburg, sister Lucinda Rodgers, and cousins Gail Thornburg, Carolyn Puckett and Brenda Schaub.
Friends may call at a Celebration of Life, Sunday, February 9th from 2-4 p.m. at 4432 80th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79424.

After I acquired a little vacation home outside Lubbock, I was graced with a few fun visits from Ted and his siblings. Who knew , house parties ? Then Ted decided to move to Lubbock , “home to Texas again “ as he put it . It was a real joy to be able to see more of him
