Darlene Nieman of New Home passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 at the age of 76. She was born February 2, 1944 in Brownfield, Texas to Oscar H. and Foy (James) Lowrey. Darlene married Clarence Nieman on June 3, 1962. Darlene worked for many years at Fun Times Ceramics in Brownfield and later in Meadow, TX. Between 2000-2008 Darlene owned the Joker Costume Shop in Lubbock until her retirement. Darlene was a farmer’s wife who enjoyed playing the drums and singing harmony with Clarence Nieman and the Midnight Cowboys for many years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Clarence; children Debi Nieman, Shannon Gonzales and husband Joe and Robbi Nieman; brother, Bud Lowrey; seven grandchildren, Tyler Nieman and wife Jaime, Josh Nieman and wife Emily, Kali Gonzales, Kassidi Sneed and husband Josh, Camryn Nieman, Kayla Gonzales and Addison Nieman and 4 great-grandchildren, Merritt, Mason, Madilyn and Miller Nieman as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be 1:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2020 with family receiving friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Combest Family Funeral Homes in Tahoka. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 at New Home Baptist Church with interment to follow at Green Memorial Cemetery.

We are so sorry for yalls loss of yalls loved one! She was a beautiful and sweet and young lady ! She is now yalls Guardian Angel looking down on yall above ! Love always yalls loving family to ! The Fowlers ! Im sorry i just seen her obituary on my phone !
