Duane Milton Tucker, 83, of Lubbock, Texas passed from this life on May 19, 2020. He was born on March 3, 1937 in Aledo, Illinois to Joseph Milton and Etta Loretta (Dake) Tucker. He grew up in Aledo and graduated from high school there before moving to Plainview, Texas with his parents. Duane was a painter in Lubbock where he resided for several years before moving to Durango, Colorado. He loved the mountains and living off the land. Duane loved carpentry, raising animals and hiking. Later he moved to Fredericksburg, Texas for a few years before returning to Lubbock.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Etta Tucker and two sisters, Nadine Jones and Linda Gail House.
Duane is survived by his daughter, Renee Eberhardt of Lubbock; his son, Deron Tucker and wife Debbie of Lubbock; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Please accept sincere condolences. Duane was not only my very good friend in Durango, but he was also a mentor and teacher of all things related to painting, work, life and living. I will always cherish the years that we worked and played together.
