Charles Ray Barnes, 77, of Lubbock passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020. Charles was born December 2, 1942 in McKinney to Nathaniel and Eva Mae (St. John) Barnes. Charles served in the United States Air Force. He married Ruby Joyce Fisher on May 7, 1960 in Wichita Falls. Charles loved arrowhead hunting, motorcycles, guns and being outdoors. He also owned a karaoke business and loved it. Charles was a master mechanic and a master craftsman, and he built their house from the ground up.

Charles is survived by his wife, Joyce Barnes; children, Suanna Dawson and husband Jeff of Dickens, Barbie Norman and husband Michael of Spur, and David Barnes of Lubbock; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his son Kenny Barnes; and his grandson, Chris Barnes.

Visitation will be held from 10:00a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 17, 2020. at Venue on Broadway with family receiving friend from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2020 at Venue on Broadway with burial to follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to American Cancer Society.

The family invites guests to a small gathering following the burial at Canyon UMC, 217 FM1729.
