Julia Alvarez Rosales, 63, of Lubbock passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020. She was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on February 22, 1957 to Johnny and Juanita (Fernandez) Alvarez. Julia married Jose Rosales and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crafting and yard sales. Julia worked at Copper Rawlings Senior Center. Julia was of the Catholic faith.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jose; children, Elizabeth Castrejon and husband Fidel of Lubbock, Santos Alvarez and wife Christy of Fort Worth and Jesse Cabrera Jr. also of Fort Worth; brother, Johnny Alvarez, Jr. of Lubbock; sister, Jeanne Olague and husband Larry of Fort Worth; mother, Juanita Alvarez of Fort Worth and 10 grandchildren.

Julia is preceded in death by her father, Johnny Alvarez Sr., brother James Alvarez and sister JoAnn Ybarra.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at the Venue on Broadway from 10AM until 8PM with Rosary being recited at 6PM that evening. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 2PM at the Venue on Broadway with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
