Eusebio “Sam” Moralez Cedillo of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the age of 84. He was born to Damacio and Francisca (Moralez) Cedillo in Cameron, Texas on December 16, 1935. He grew up in Petersburg where he met the love of his life, Teresa Valdez and on November 15, 1957 they began a 63 year marriage that would continue until she passed away on August 28, 2020. Sam was a humble, giving person who was passionate about his family, always loving to the fullest with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a loyal, hard-working farmer who always helped others. As a farmer, Sam was a John Deere man all the way.
He is survived by children, Maximo Cedillo (Norma) of Lawton, OK, Daniel Cedillo of Lubbock, Delia Medrano (Enrique) of Plainview, Jessie Cedillo (Linda) of Waxahachie, Gilbert Cedillo (Molly) of Plainview and Lisa Gutierrez (Michael) of Lubbock; his siblings Felix Cedillo of El Paso, Domingo Sedillo of Petersburg; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Sam was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Cedillo; his parents, Damacio and Francisca Moralez Cedillo; brothers Joe Cedillo and Agapito Sedillo and sister, Lupe Alvarado.
Visitation for Sam will be held on Monday, October 19, 2020 from 10am until 8pm with a memorial service being held at 6pm. Another visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 9am until 8 pm with Rosary being recited at 6:30pm at the Venue on Broadway. Mass will be held at Saint Elizabeth’s Catholic Church at 10 am on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 with burial to follow at Petersburg Cemetery.
