Uncle Nick, I’m gonna miss you so much! I hate that you and Hope are gone but I know you guys are together laughing and in peace. You two were the best pair and I’m so sad my girls won’t get to meet you guys. Thank you for all your help and always being there for me. Love you

Nicky, I wanted to call you yesterday to talk to you but you're no longer here to talk....I loved talking to you because I could always count on a good laugh. I'm not sure if you enjoyed talking to me as much as I did because it usually turned in to a counseling session for you but always finished with a good laugh.. I miss you and miss our talks...you were my Brother in Christ...a Brother from another Mother & Father, one of my best friends and one of the best Uncle's to Alina and Shastity. You never changed. You were my brother since we were in Middle School at Marshall Junior High School, in Clovis...and through the years, you always checked on us and ensured we stayed in touch. I talked to you a couple weeks before your passing and You confided in me that you had confessed your sins and had given your life to the Lord. Knowing that you will be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ brings joy to my heart. Thank you for being such a good Brother and friend. Thank you for checking in on my girls, especially Alina when she lived in Lubbock. You and Hope were a Godsend.

You adored your Children and although, you didn't live near Neisha and Nicholas, you always talked about them in every conversation we had, they were your pride and joy.

Hope was your Love, When she passed, you said to me "It should've been me, Hope was too good to go" but now you will be with Hope again, and you will both be happy once again.

Nicky, You were one of the best Marines and I know more than anything one of your biggest regrets was leaving the Marines. Besides being a proud Father to your Children, you always talked about the regret you had of not reenlisting and continuing your service in the United States Marine Corps. But although, you didn't continue, You served your enlistment diligently and died as a proud Marine and we thank you for Your Service. Miguel and I talked about this and know you will continue your service as a Marine in Heaven. Rest in Peace My Brother in Christ.

Ooh Rah! Semper Fidelis!!
