Fidel Flores, Jr. 71, of Idalou passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. He was born August 6, 1949 in Slaton, Texas to Fidel and Mary (Lucio) Flores, Sr. He grew up in the Lubbock area where he worked over 30 years as a machinist. Fidel married the love of his life on July 5, 2017 when he married Lilly Reyes. He had a strong faith in God and attended Urbana Baptist Church. Fidel ministered in music through his playing in Las Huellas De Cristo. He enjoyed cooking out and spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lilly Flores of Idalou; children, Lidia Franco (Danny) of Lubbock, Israel Flores of Oklahoma City, OK, Melissa Reyes (Carlos) of St. Paul, MN, Rafael Navarro Jr. (Crystal) of Amarillo, Cynthia Swain (Cllint) of Coleman and Meranda Garcia (Daniel) of Amarillo; sister, Lillie Trevino of Lubbock; brothers, Martin Alvarado of Slaton and Ysidro Alvarado of Lubbock; 34 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Fidel was preceded in death by his parents, Fidel and Mary Flores, Sr.; daughter, Maribel Flores; brothers, Petrolino Flores and Johnny Alvarado Sr. and granddaughter, Jennifer Nicole Flores.

A visitation for Fidel will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Venue on Broadway with family receiving friends from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. and prayer service will begin at 6:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Venue on Broadway with interment to follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton, Texas.
