My mother, Barbara Miller, and I are so saddened to hear of Carl's passing. He was an important person in our lives, as he became my dad's best friend while at The Legacy. Knowing Carl was there with my dad gave us comfort, as he was able to lift Dad's spirits in a way no other could. We were always happy to see him come back from his lunch outings with Marvin, though we know how much he loved those times with his brother! He loved his family! Carl was such a kind man and we were privileged to know him. Our deepest sympathies in your great loss.

I'm so very sorry for your loss and I will miss Carl so very much. I can't wrap my head around that he is really gone. We have been friends for nearly 50 years, we gone from riding our bicycles around the neighborhood in Lubbock, to chasing women at the Freeman Club, to being roommates in our twenties while working at Furrs, snow skiing in Colorado, supporting each other when we lost our parents, to walking around outside of his home when he was having issues with this horrid disease talking about the old times and finally to me bringing him raspberry filled doughnuts to the home. Dealing with heart issues I've been unable to visit & when I finally could Covid wouldn't allow me to see him. I loved him like a brother and will never forget him.
