Alan and I were roommates our freshman year in college. We were so young! Alan was a wonderful singer and guitarist. He was a great friend. It was a magical time. But now, like the beautiful Stephen Stills ballad he used to play:

So begins the task
I have dreaded the coming of
For so long

I must learn to live without you now

So long old friend.

Perry, we are so sad to hear about Alan's passing. We send hugs and prayers your way, and Moe and Dallas are barking as they did every time we walked past your house. You were great neighbors. Prayers for peace and sweet memories for you.
