Diane Garcia, 73, owner of Diane’s Bridal Boutique and Quinceanera in Lubbock, was called home to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 8, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on January 2, 1948, in Crystal City, Zavala County, Texas to the late Bonifacio DeLeon Rodriquez and Lorenza (Ramirez) Rodriquez.

Diane attended Amarillo College, where she obtained her education and licensure in Cosmetology.

Diane met Isaac Garcia and they were married in 1983 in Lubbock, Texas, and he preceded her in death on June 8, 2019. She loved decorating, making floral arrangements, gardening and spending quality time at the beach. Diane owned and operated Diane’s Bridal Boutique and Quinceanera for over 25 years, retiring in 2019. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Those left to mourn her loss include three daughters: Barbara Rocha of Amarillo, Christine Hullender and Rosemary Zavala, both of San Antonio; one son, Ruben Berlanga of San Antonio; three brothers: Paul DeLeon and Roy DeLeon, both of Lubbock and Gilbert DeLeon of Austin; three sisters: Carmen Hernandez, Olga Garcia and Rosa Gutierrez, all of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Isaac and one sister, Stella Estrada.

Visitation for Mrs. Garcia will be on Monday, July 12, 2021, from 3:00 to 8:00 P. M., with Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 P. M., at the Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 A. M. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 102 N. Avenue P, with Father Raymundo Manriquez as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Hullender, Kevin Hullender, Justin Rocha, Aaron Rocha, Brandon Berlanga and Trey Berlanga.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Diane at a family Thanksgiving dinner,and visiting with her. We laughed and shared many stories of our children growing up. Diane loved her family very much,that was very obvious,,in the loving words she spoke. God bless the family.
