Martin Torres II of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the age of 53. He was born August 23, 1968 in Lubbock to the late Martin B. and Rosa (Trevino) Torres. He grew up in Lubbock, graduating from Dunbar-Struggs. He enjoyed working outdoors and spent 10 years at Resthaven Memorial Park as grounds crew. He later spent several years working the grounds at various golf courses. He most recently has been employed at Texas Battery where he formed strong relationships with his co-workers. Martin will best be known for his sense of humor and how quickly he made friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Martin Torres III and Stone Torres of Lubbock; sisters, Elizabeth and Isaias Cervantes of Lubbock, Irma and Alonzo Leal, and Belinda Kay Torres-Rodriguez and Adrian of Corpus Christi; and two grandchildren, Jayde Lynn and Benjamin Kinsler.

My sincerest condolences for my cousins Jr and stone. My uncle will always be the holder of the reward that nobody wanted but I often got... thank u tio for all ur advice and guidance u will be missed.... but we'll see eachother soon to have that big reunion in the sky... so sip that tea slow too well b there when the man calls us home to have a cool glass
