Ricardo "Ricky" E. Armenta quietly entered eternal rest alongside and hand in hand with the love of his life, wife Amalia “Molly” R. Armenta. They were both surrounded by their loving families. After a brief illness.
2 Corinthians 5:8 "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.: His rebellious nature and tenacious ways will be greatly missed by all who loved him. His strong courage of his convictions made him a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. A truck driver and welder by trade, Ricky was an avid outdoorsman who throughout his life enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and was also a competitive pool player.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Billy Jack Armenta, Sr.; daughter, Ashley Nicole Armenta-Lopez, and Abraham; brothers, Lorenzo Armenta, Jr. and Ida, Daniel Armenta, and Minerva; sisters, Blanca Alicia Nava, Ester Contreras and Juan, Sylvia Saldaña and Eddie, and Norma Armenta; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Ricky was immediately followed in death by his loving wife of 40 years Amalia Armenta; his parents, Lorenzo and Avelina Armenta; paternal grandmother, Refugia Vasquez; maternal grandmother, Evila Silva; brothers, Roberto Armenta, and David Armenta; uncle, Efrain J. Vela; brother-in-law, Trinidad T. Nava and nephew, Billy D. Nava.
Pallbearers will be Lorenzo Armenta, III, Christian Contreras, Daniel Paul Armenta, Daniel Israel Armenta, Elizandro Armendariz Sr. Javier Martinez, Sr.; Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Jack Armenta, Sr., Ever Joel Armenta, David Vela, Noel Armenta, Dylan Saldana, and Billy Jack Armenta, Jr.
Visitation will begin from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the Venue on Broadway. Graveside Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021, at City of Lubbock Cemetery with Pastor, Shane Russell of Lubbock officiating.

Ricardo was one of my favorite customers. Always walking in and calling me mija. I will greatly miss him and his stories about life. May him and his wife Amalia rest in peace. :(
