The Man, The Trooper, The Legend

Noé Juan Gonzales Jr of La Vernia, Texas was born in Corpus Christi on March 21, 1958 to Noé and Zenaida Gonzalez. He was a Texas State Trooper where he faithfully served for over 23 years before retiring as a Sr. State Trooper in San Antonio, Texas on August 31, 2017. Noé Juan Gonzales Jr went to be with Our Father on October 4, 2021 at Christus Santa Rosa in San Antonio, Tx in the arms of his daughters. He loved authentic Mexican food, praising Jesus, Tequilla, Shania Twain and Reba McEntire, not necessarily in that order. His smile would light up the room. He knew and loved God tremendously and he was very passionate about sharing the word of God. The love he had for his daughters was like no other. We miss you dearly and love you tremendously!

He is survived by his 3 beloved daughters whom he loved tremendously, Christina Gonzales of Idalou Tx,
Gracie Pena (Chris Pena) of Austin Tx, and Veronica C Gonzalez (Raymond Charles) of San Antonio; 6 grandchildren, Curtis Diaz Jr (CJ), Cayden Diaz, Christopher Pena Jr., Joshua Gonzales, Kylie Charles and Gia Pena; his mother, Zenaida Gonzalez; 6 sisters, Carolina Gonzalez, Margaret Winn, Chavela Olivarez, Esperanza Calvillo, Rosario Gonzales & Angelica Abercrombie and 3 brothers, Ruben Gonzales, Gilbert Gonzales and Jessie Gonzales.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Noe Juan Gonzalez, Sr.; sister, Alejandra Gonzalez and granddaughter, Jocelynn Gonzales.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Venue on Broadway from 3-8pm with Rosary being recited at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10am at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Idalou with interment to follow at Idalou Cemetery.
