Jody L. Stowe, 63, of Lubbock, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday morning, April 18, 2022. Jody was born on September 22, 1958, in Grants, Cibola County, New Mexico to Jody W. and Colleen (Brooks) Stowe.

He loved to do research and was a movie buff of old classical movies. Jody’s family described him as a walking music encyclopedia. Jody attended the 82nd and Avenue V Church of Christ in Lubbock.

Jody leaves behind his cherished family, which includes his parents, Jody W. and Colleen Stowe of Lubbock; one brother, Kurt (Martha) Stowe of Franklin, Tennessee; two sisters, Rhonda Murdock (Brad) of Ransom Canyon, Texas and Sherri (Jody) Chambers of Ozark, Missouri.

A time of visitation and reflection for Jody will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM on Thursday, April 28, 2022, in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Friday, April 29, 2022, in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Our sincere condolences to all,. Becky and I are very sorry we could not attend the service. My most vivid memory of my cousin is him beating me at chess, even though he was four or five years my junior. I never won a single game.

I wish I had known him better in our later years.

My uncle, his dad, had a profound influence on me during my youth; I a fact for which I will be forever grateful.

God bless you all.

My dear uncle Lyndell, my heart is broken. You were such an amazing soul & person. You were talented, intelligent, witty, funny, sweet, & made everyone feel special. My girls absolutely adored you. They remember you having the most gentle voice, and being a really good artist. Chasity holds the memory of picking a mandolin, while you played guitar dear to heart. That was so special to her. The other girls remember you being so patient and kind to them while you all colored and did drawings at Bamas kitchen table. I remember you being one of my favorite people to see everytime we visited. You just were so calming, and comforting. Your voice was peaceful, and you always made me feel special. You always connected so well with us kids, we loved it. I loved watching you make that same connection with my girls. I am so sad you left us so early. I am praying for comfort & peace for all of us, especially Bama & Papa, and your siblings. We love you uncle Lyndell.
