Neoma Kathryn Turner passed from this earth into the arms of her loving Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. She was born September 18, 1934 to George Henry and Dora Jane Breeding. She was strong in her faith and was a true prayer warrior. With the Lord by her side; she overcame many obstacles in her lifetime and was rewarded with many blessings. In her younger years, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, and square dancing.
She married George Turner December 31, 1992 and moved from the West Texas area to Canton, Texas, where they operated The Windmill Bed & Breakfast. After several years, they earned their retirement, which they enjoyed until George passed away in September 2016. She moved back to Lubbock, Texas in August 2018 where she was able to be closer to her family.
She is survived by daughters Kathy & Robert Perkins of Lubbock, Tx; Carol & Isaac Gamboa of Plainview, Tx; son Doug & Lana Briggs of Sherman, Tx; Step Sons; Steve Turner & Phillip Turner. Grandchildren; Matthew, Marisa, Gemini, Tom, Olivia, Courtney, Austin, Katy, Lucas, Morgan, Garrett, Benjamin, and Elijah. Great-grandchildren; Juliana, Gracie, Kaylynn, Christian, and Kynsley; and extended family members.
Neoma was preceded in death by her parents George & Dora Jane Breeding; husband, George E. Turner; brothers, George Breeding, Jr. and Paul Breeding; and sister, Doyce Jane Fisher.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Combest Family Funeral Homes at 2210 Broadway.
Interment will be a Graveside Memorial at Petersburg Cemetery in Petersburg, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Breast Cancer Awareness or the National Kidney Foundation.
