With profound emotion and deep remembrance, we celebrate the remarkable life of Beulah Hungerford, who departed this world on August 1, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas at the age of 97. Born on April 7, 1929, in Johnston County, North Carolina, Beulah’s nearly century-long journey resonated with quiet strength, steadfast kindness, and the profound impact of a life lovingly lived.

From the sweet hills of North Carolina to the wide skies of Texas, Beulah’s path was shaped by resilience and devotion—in equal measure. There was a serenity in Beulah’s presence, a calming certainty that echoed through her words and gestures. To her family, she served as the cornerstone, the brilliant north star that illuminated both joyous and challenging moments.

Beulah’s heart belonged, first and foremost, to her family, and she leaves behind a loving legacy through her daughters, Patsy( Brac) Jones and Lisa Casas, whose lives she enriched with wisdom and compassion. Her granddaughters, Wendy Albright and Gabbie Ybarra, and grandsons, Brice (Stephanie) Jones, Brandon (Ameilia) Jones, and Devin Casas, held her dear and learned from her gentle guidance, laughter, and stories of days long past. The light of her influence reaches even further through her cherished great-grandchildren: Brayden Jones, Aubrey Jones,Hudson Jones, Elliot, and Declan. Each carries forward a piece of her enduring spirit.

Beulah's Caring and compassionate Heart Grew stronger after becoming and Licensed Vocational Nurse. Beulah served at many hospitals, nursing, and treatment facilities in Lubbock, TX for over 30 years. Being an LPN was Beulah's most proudest accomplishment, she made it her life's mission to care for the sick while providing for her family.

Beulah’s life was shaped not only by those who survive her, but also by the memories of loved ones who preceded her in death: her father Oscar Lemai Byrd, her mother Thelma Byrd; her beloved husband, Thomas Hungerford; her devoted sisters, Mollie Spencer and Ann Poole; and Earl Parker, a dear presence in her life. Their bonds were woven deeply across years, their influences forever stitched into her story and the stories of all those she touched.

To those close to her, Beulah was a quiet force—the warmth of shared meals, the patience and love beneath every act, the keeper of family traditions and tales. Her memory is alive in each conversation, smile, and embrace within the circles of her family.
