Carol Elaine Mosley

Born on February 10, 1950 in Lockney, Texas, Elaine passed from this life peacefully on June 10, 2026. She was the daughter of Boyce Albert (Pete) Mosley and Bonnie Inez Dunavant Mosley. 

Elaine grew up in Lockney, but attended High School at San Marcos Baptist Academy, in San Marcos, Texas, graduating in 1968. Elaine completed business courses at South Plains Business College in Plainview, Texas. She worked at various businesses over the next 30 years in the Dallas area, including Trans America Insurance, Mostek, Tasco, Budget Rent-a-Car, and Purdy McGuire Engineers. 

Her hobbies were knitting and crocheting. Elaine subsequently returned to the Lockney and Plainview area. After a stroke, she lived out her remaining days at the Lockney Nursing Home and the Crosbyton Nursing Home. 

Elaine was preceded in passing by her parents, Pete and Inez Mosley and her brother, Ricky Boyce Mosley. 

She is survived by her sister, Susan Futch, nieces and nephews and a loving and caring aunt, Carolyn Dunavant Redding. 

Our debt of gratitude is beyond measure for Carolyn’s loving oversight and for the excellent care that was provided by the staff at Crosbyton Nursing Home.
