Glenn Donnell Nall, Sr. of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the age of 76. He was born July 13, 1950, in Lubbock to Pebbie and Modette (Lawrence) Nall of O’Vala, Texas. Glenn was one of the hardest-working men you could ever meet. At just 15 years old, with a son on the way, he stepped into adulthood and never looked back. He began his career in the transmission business working for Old Man Crow before going to work for John McDowell. Eventually, he took a leap of faith and opened his own shop, Advanced Transmission, at 50th and Q.

His career later took him to Commercial Metals, where he entered management training, moving his family to Louisiana and then Beaumont. When life brought them back to Lubbock, Glenn opened his own scrap metal business. Although changing circumstances eventually led to its closure, he never let setbacks define him. He joined Rusty Sowell at Equipment Services, where he spent 15 years before partnering with his lifelong friend, Mike Groves, to open Hydraulic Shop LLC. For the past 20 years, Glenn proudly managed the business, building not only a successful company but lasting friendships and a reputation for honesty, hard work, and integrity.

More than anything, Glenn was a loving, forgiving, and loyal man. He stood by his family and friends through both the good times and the difficult ones, always willing to lend a hand no matter the situation. He loved his family deeply and would go to any length to help those he loved. He was respected and admired by the people who worked for him and those he worked alongside. Countless hours were spent helping customers, mentoring employees, and making sure the job was done right.

From his teenage years on, Glenn was a true car enthusiast. Building and restoring muscle cars wasn't just a hobby—it was part of who he was. He loved the excitement of drag racing and always wore a smile, whether he crossed the finish line first or last. When he wasn't at the racetrack, he enjoyed red fishing and trying his luck on the slot machines. But if you asked him what mattered most, the conversation always came back to his family, especially his grandchildren. They were his greatest source of pride and the people who brought the biggest smile to his face. He never stopped encouraging them, supporting them, and loving them.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Becky; children: Becky Joe Means and husband Justin, Tavia Bryant, Jimmy Joe Bryant and wife Priscilla, and children from his first marriage to Mary Tabor Williams: Glenn Nall, Jr. and Shantel Gaydon and husband Spencer; grandchildren: Taylor Miller and husband Chance, Adilynn Means, Zachary Smith, Kyrstin Rodriguez, Tiffany Nall, Lori Nall, Siairra Tharp and husband Preston, Margaret Lacy and husband Preston, and Airron Gaydon; great-grandchildren: Jett Reid, Zaccai, X’Zayvren, Gage, Ashyr, Kasen, Parker, Henry, Lincoln, and Rynlee; sister-in-law, Jo Nall; as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family that loved him dearly.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Ray Nall, Wanda Bertram, Carolyn Brooks, and Ann Kearney.

The family will greet guests beginning at 9:00 am, Monday, August 3, 2026, at Venue on Broadway with services starting at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Robert Kearney and Leisa Baze, a beloved nephew and niece, for the continued care, love and support they provided to their Uncle Glenn.
