Gloria Ann Stacconi White passed away in Lubbock, Texas, on September 25, 2026. She was born in Endicott, New York on February 16, 1948, the fifth and youngest child of proud Italian American immigrant parents, Vincenzo “Jimmy” and Rosa Stacconi. Gloria grew up with her brothers, Phil, John, and Bob; sister, Rose Mary; and a large extended family. Their lives centered around the family’s grocery store that was located next door to their home.

Gloria married Crockett White in Endicott, New York on August 27, 1966. The first years of their marriage were marked with Crockett’s service in the U. S. Air Force. Crockett and Gloria were honored to have three sons, David, Marc, and Gregg, who were the joy of their lives. The family of five moved to Lubbock, Texas, in 1975, and Gloria loved becoming a proud Texan.

Gloria was a wonderful cook, especially of classic Italian food, and her family delighted in her delicious meals. She also loved flowers, gardening, and had a special place in her heart for dogs. In her shopping prime, Gloria enjoyed working and shopping at Steinmart. Gloria’s favorite role was that of “Nonna” to her grandchildren. Crockett’s (Grandad’s) heart belonged wholly to Gloria; with a steadfast devotion that carried them through sixty beautiful years of life side by side, through every joy and every ordinary day.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Rosa Stacconi, her brothers, Phil, John, and Bob Stacconi, and infant twin grandsons, Luke and Adam White.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Crockett White and their sons, David White, Marc White and wife Terri, Gregg White and wife Jennifer. Her grandchildren, Marshall and Audrey White, Andrew, Stephanie, and Amber Stone; great-grandchildren, Kambree, Kyleigh, Kade, Morgan, Westin and Rylee. Her sister, Rose Mary Caforio; sisters-in-law, Florence and Shirley Stacconi; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Gloria’s life will be held 2pm, Monday, October 5, 2026, at Combest Funeral Home Chapel with pastor, Marty Hamrick officiating.
