Lupe Reyes, age 76, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 3, 2026 in her home. She was born on February 25, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas to Florentino Luna and Felipa Gomez Luna. She has four siblings, Juan Aguirre, Lydia Reyes, Gloria Luna, and Joe Luna.

Lupe married the love of her life, Rosendo Reyes, and together they were blessed with five beautiful children: Irene Ramirez, Rosalinda Arroyo, Ricky Reyes, Raymond Reyes, and Yrma Linda Reyes. Her family continued to grow as she proudly became “Momo” to 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, each of whom held a very special place in her heart.

Throughout her life, Lupe touched the lives of so many. She was a strong and loving woman who fought courageously until the very end. She cherished the many roles she held throughout her life—as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, caring sister and Tia, and, to so many, a wonderful friend.

Above all, Lupe treasured time spent with her family, especially her children. She found joy in dancing and singing and was happiest tending to her garden. Her family finds comfort in knowing that the woman who lovingly nurtured so many lives and so many beautiful things is now blooming in Heaven, reunited with God and the loved ones who went before her.

Lupe is survived by her son, Raymond Reyes and wife Patricia of Arkansas; granddaughter, Valerie and husband Gabriel Ybarra; siblings Gloria & Joe Luna. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rosendo Reyes; her parents; siblings, Juan Aguirre and Lydia Reyes; and children, Ricky Reyes, Rosalinda Arroyo, Irene Ramirez, and Yrma Linda Reyes.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Venue on Broadway with rosary being cited at 7:00 pm. Mass will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at the Abernathy Cemetery.
