Issiah Antuan Whitfield, born March 28, 2001, in Lubbock, Texas, passed away on November 2, 2026.

Issiah was the son of Rafael Whitfield and Sonia Rodriguez. A roofer by trade, he was a hardworking young man who made his own mark on the world. He had a personality and style that were unmistakably his own. Known for his chains, jewelry, and bracelets, Issiah carried himself with a distinctive flair. He had the spirit of a biker, even without the motorcycle, and an appreciation for the things that made him unique. A fan of Spider-Man, he carried a little of that superhero spirit with him.

Issiah will be remembered for his individuality, his personal style, and the memories he leaves behind with those who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Sonia Rodriguez, and her husband, Felipe; his father, Rafael Whitfield; his girlfriend, Arianna Lopez; and his siblings, Felipe Rodriguez IV, Ethan Rodriguez, Leonidas Rodriguez, Lucious Rodriguez, Octavious Rodriguez, Ione Rodriguez, Niome Rodriguez, and Tyberious Rodriguez.

He is also survived by his grandmothers, Hilaria Silva and her husband Gonzalo, and Sandra Nash; his aunts, Lisa Fernandez, Stephanie Lopez, and La'Quesha Shields; his uncles, Quincy Nash and Tyrone Nash; and his cousins, Gabriella, Isaac, Raymond, and Hilaria Fernandez, Amoni Ray, Ariana Barnes, and De'Aaron Barnes. He also leaves behind numerous other cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

Though his time here was far too short, Issiah's unique spirit and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
