What can you say about a person that was loved by so many. A person that touched a lot of lives with his laughter, funny stories, jokes and genuine overall Good Guy and that smile he had. A positive attitude about life, work, and people. God broke the mold after Don truly. His passion was helping whoever needed help, he never met a stranger. He got to see a lot of places like Isreal, that he said changed his life. You could talk about a place and he had been there.

Don was born December 9th, 1952 and passed after a long battle of illnesses September 3rd, 2026 at Lubbock LTC Skilled Nursing Facility.

Don was adopted to Dr. Sol and Lydia Estes; however, he was very thankful for a wonderful dad and mom and two sisters. He was raised with good work ethics, Christian values, and the love from dad and mom. He learned that you work for what you get.

Don is survived by his wife Bobbie Estes, 2 sons: Tanner Paul Estes and wife Frankie, from Savannah Georgia. Jeremey Estes and wife Dava, with 3 grandchildren, from Lewisville, Tx. 1 daughter: Jessica Estes Byrd, with 4 grandchildren, from Mesa, Arizona. One living sister Esme Yvonne Glenn of Abilene. Several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Don is preceded in death by his dad Dr. Sol Estes, and mom Lydia Dziewas Estes, one brother Richard Lance Estes, and one sister Betty Diane Estes King. Nanny -Mama Rose.

Don attended Abilene Christian College and obtained a Bachelor degree in Ag/Business. He found pleasure in working on the family ranch building fences, removing Mesquite trees, all the normal ranch work and then went to work in Real Estate. He then changed careers and went into the paper goods, plastic industrial products and in specialty packaging. Don went to work for Schwann’s and enjoyed that till he went to the Medicare world. Don finally found his passion in helping people. He opened Estes Health Insurance Agency and flourished with it. He was even called the guru of Medicare. Don helped other Medicare agents with answering questions, and helpful suggestions. He was great at what he did. Many people praised him for his help.

Jack Donald Estes will be greatly missed by many.
