Obituary

Joe Franciamore, 79, of Snyder and formerly of Lubbock, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026. He was born on July 5, 1947, in El Paso, Texas, to Louis Joseph and Gladys Louise (Wells) Franciamore. On August 26, 1972, he married Janeen Hilton in El Paso, beginning a marriage centered on faith, family, and devotion to one another. In 1981, Joe and Janeen moved to Lubbock, where they made their home and became faithful members of Fellowship Church Lubbock. Following Janeen’s passing, Joe moved to Snyder to be closer to his family.

In October 1967, Joe was drafted into the United States Army. Although his time in the military was shortened by family circumstances, Joe remained deeply proud of having served his country.

Joe built a successful career as an overhead fire protection representative. He was known throughout his working years for his exceptional work ethic, dependability, and determination. Retirement did little to slow him down, and he found a new chapter he thoroughly enjoyed working as a car salesman.

Above all else, Joe loved his family. Some of his greatest joy came from simply being present in the lives of his children and grandchildren. He rarely missed an opportunity to support his grandchildren and could often be found in the stands, audience, or sidelines cheering them on at rodeo shows, sporting events, musical performances, and other activities. Being involved in their lives and celebrating their accomplishments meant the world to him.

Joe will be remembered as a hardworking and devoted man whose life reflected his love for his family, his faith, and his country.

He is survived by his children, Jennifer Stewart and husband Shane of Snyder, and Jason Franciamore and wife Courtney of New York; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; sisters, Susan Roberson and husband David, and Cindy Aycock and husband William; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife, Janeen Franciamore in 2021.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Fellowship Church Lubbock, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in Joe’s memory to the Fellowship Church Building Fund.
