Jose Jacinto Silva, 77, of Lubbock passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born on July 26, 1948, in Big Spring, Texas to Vincente and Librada (Gallegos) Silva. As a child, the Silva family traveled between Big Spring and Garland where they worked for various farmers. It was by their side that Jose first learned the virtues of diligence and sacrifice, lessons that would shape his life and echo in everything he accomplished. From these humble beginnings, he carried forth a strong work ethic. 

In adulthood, Jose became a pillar within his community, renowned for his ownership and stewardship of a concrete and upholstery business in Big Spring. Through years of dedicated service, he not only built livelihoods but forged friendships and trust that spanned decades. Jose was a man of faith. His heart found joy in simple pleasures: the quiet patience of fishing, the camaraderie of dominos, and the lively challenge of a game of pool. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Israel Silva, Angelica Silva-Ramirez, and Gary Silva all of Lubbock; grandchildren, Steven, Arissa, Morgan (Josh), Benjamin, and Jalin; one great-grandchild on the way; and sister, Maria Camarillo of Garland. Jose was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul Silva.

Visitation to be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with services starting at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
