Kenneth Logan Hargesheimer, 91, of Lubbock passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 11, 2026. He was born in Quanah, Texas on November 1, 1934 to Price and Imogene (Webb) Hargesheimer. He grew up in a dairy farm and graduated from Quanah High School in 1953. He moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Technological College (TTU) and graduated in 1957 with a degree in Animal Husbandry with a specialization in Dairy Science. He lived in the Dairy Barn, three of his years at Tech, milking cows three times a day.

Ken married Nancy Kelley May 15, 1959. From 1960 to 1969, they were part of a missionary team working in Guatemala, Central America, where their children were born. They returned to the United States for several years. In 1973 the family moved to Ukpom Bible Training College in Nigeria, West Africa, where he served as Business Manager of the college. Upon returning to Lubbock, the family became members of Sunset church of Christ, where he served as a deacon for many years.

Ken had many jobs that included retail, remodeling work, sales, substitute teaching, but the one he loved most was traveling to over 20 countries to teach workshops on no-till organic farming and sharing the Gospel to others. He spent his life helping others, including donating his body to the Texas Tech Willed Body Program.

Ken loved the Lord and evangelizing. He loved Nancy and his family and he loved chocolate. He was generous and told everyone his secret to a long and happy life was eating Texas beef and dark chocolate every day.
