Myrtle Marie (Hicks) Lang, 70, passed away August 9, 2026, in Lubbock, TX. She was born on January 2, 1956, to Robert and Evana Hicks, in Spokane, WA.

Myrtle graduated from Lubbock High School in 1974, in 1978, she married Melvin Lang and to this union, they had two children, Melissa and Ryan.

Mrytle enjoyed arts and crafts, spending time with her family and especially with her grandkids; but most of all, she loved the Lord, was a Christian at heart, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Myrtle was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Lang. Those remaining to cherish her memories, and carry on her legacy are her husband, Melvin Lang, a son, Ryan Lang, and her grandchildren, Blakley Lang and Kelsey Lang.

Inurnment will occur at 9:00am, Thursday, August 27, 2026 at the West Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Lubbock.
