Obituary

Phyllis Lynch

1954 - 2026

Phyllis Olene Lynch (née Moore), age 71, passed away peacefully from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on June 15, 2026, in Lake Jackson, Texas. Phyllis was born on July 14, 1954, in Hobbs, New Mexico, and grew up in Lubbock, Texas. Phyllis lived a life devoted to her family, faith, and the care of others.

Phyllis dedicated an incredible 50 years to her career as a nurse, specializing in OB/Gyn and Pediatrics. Her work touched countless lives as she provided compassionate care to mothers and children throughout her decades of service. Her commitment to her profession was a testament to her nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication to helping others.

Phyllis was the epitome of a Proverbs 31 women. Full of strength, grace, wisdom, faithfulness, and fearlessness, she demonstrated what it meant to have faith as the cornerstone of her life. She read her Bible daily, was a devoted watcher of Joyce Meyer's on TV, and prayed daily for her family and friends to find and embrace the love the Christ. Phyllis often spoke about the day she would be "promoted to Heaven," a phrase that reflected her steadfast belief in eternal life. That day has now come, bringing comfort to those who knew her faith.

Family was everything to Phyllis. She was a fantastic mother to her two sons and beloved Mamaw to her five grandchildren , always there for every occasion, be it soccer games, ballet recitals, band concerts, birthdays, playing with dolls, graduations or weddings. Phyllis also maintained close bonds with her siblings—brothers Chris Moore and Ronnie Moore and sisters Linda Stokes and Janet Lucas—and treasured the time spent with them. Phyllis loved her family deeply and took immense pride in their lives.

Though she had only a few long-time friends, Phyllis made it a priority to keep in touch with them often. Her loyalty and warmth were hallmarks of these enduring relationships.

Phyllis is survived by her sons, David Lynch and wife Tasha of Lake Jackson, TX, Nathaniel Lynch and wife Heather of Sugar Land, TX, and her most beloved grandchildren; Reagan Quandt and her husband Brian of Houston, TX, Ethan Lynch of Lake Jackson, TX, Grace Lynch of Lake Jackson, TX, and Lauren and Colby Lynch of Sugar Land, TX. She is also survived by two brothers and a sister; Ronnie Moore and wife Linda of Lubbock, TX, Chris Moore of Lubbock, TX, and Janet Lucus and husband Garland of Lubbock, TX.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved parents Jewell T. Moore and mother Merle Moore, sister Linda Stokes and her husband Ronnie Stokes and niece Amy Kitchell. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Phyllis's legacy is one of love, faith, and selflessness. She leaves behind a family who adored her and countless others whose lives were enriched by knowing her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
