Rosemary Duckett of Lubbock passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at the age of 84. She was born October 2, 1942, in Carlsbad, New Mexico, to the late J.A. and Eva (Davis) Ferguson. At a young age, Rosemary moved with her family to Hale Center, Texas, where she was raised and later graduated from Hale Center High School.

On October 23, 1965, Rosemary married Royce Duckett, beginning a marriage that would span more than 54 years. Together, they built a life centered around family and raised their children in Plainview. More than 19 years ago, Rosemary and Royce moved to Lubbock to be closer to their grandchildren, who quickly became one of the greatest joys of her life. Royce preceded her in death on June 8, 2020.

Rosemary worked as a beautician for many years. Away from work, she enjoyed gardening and decorating. Above all, Rosemary treasured her family. She adored her grandchildren and cherished the time she was able to spend with them.

She is survived by her son, David Duckett and daughter, Melissa Spraberry and husband Kenneth, all of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Lauren, Jackson, and Savanna; as well as extended family and friends.

The family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Combest Family Memorial Chapel, with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
