Sherri Renea
Willeby
Apr 22, 1964 — Jun 22, 2026
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sherri Renea Willeby, who left this world on June 22, 2026, at the age of 62. Sherri was born on April 22, 1964, to Janice "Jan" Ruth Huntoon and Burnice Dwight Potts in Friona, TX. She lived her life filled with love, laughter, being strong willed, a fighter with a kind heart and a spirit that brought joy to those around her.
Sherri earned her Associate of Science Degree in Business from American Business College in 1992.
Her cherished Momma, Jan was always the backbone she needed to endure through her life's trials.
In her leisure time, Sherri enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She found peace and satisfaction in working on jigsaw puzzles and engaging in online puzzles. Her love for her dogs and her beloved cockatiel, BeBe, brought warmth to her home.
Sherri was also an accomplished cook and baker, constantly delighting her family and friends with delicious meals and treats that were always shared in love. Another one of her cherished pastimes was enjoying a heartwarming movie on the Hallmark Channel.
Her grandchildren brought her tremendous amount of joy and she spoiled them all the time. She would buy things for them or give them money for them to do something fun. They were loved equally and if one received a gift they all got one. Spending time with them was a little bit of heaven on earth for Sherri. It could be baking with her granddaughters creating beautiful and tasty cakes, cookies or brownies to be eaten while talking about life. Her time with her grandsons watching them play video games and talking about what was happening in the game and in their life.
Sherri is survived by her loving mother, Janice "Jan" Ruth Potts, her daughters, Ashlei Bolt and husband Gerald, Destiny Richins and husband David, sisters Debbie Brewer and Terri Watts, and her husband Shawn and her wonderful grandchildren Alec "Cody", Hayden, Sierra, Abbie, Finan, and nieces Heather Brewer and Kristi Keene. She is preceded in death by her father, Burnice Dwight Potts.
In this time of sorrow, we remember Sherri with love and gratitude for the beautiful moments we shared with her. Her legacy of kindness and joy will forever remain in our hearts.
