James Timothy “Tim” Tippit, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the age of 80. Tim was born on April 24, 1946, in Tahoka to the late John Thomas and Camillia (Lahrue) Tippit.

The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Combest Family Funeral Homes in Lubbock. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Resthaven Memorial Park. A memorial service celebrating Tim's life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church. Memorial donations can be made to your charity of choice.
