Anthony "Tony" Nicholas, of Lubbock, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at the age of 73. He was born July 31, 1952 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Robert and Evelyn (Stump) Nicholas. The family moved to Brownfield early on where he quickly enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid bass fisherman and had a passion for hunting and golf. After graduating from Brownfield High School, he went on to attend Texas Tech University. It was there that he met and married Patsy Young on January 8, 1972.

Tony’s professional endeavors were as steadfast and pioneering as his spirit. For an impressive 39 years, he was the founder, owner, and operator of Turbine Supply Company. His influence extended beyond the commercial sphere, demonstrated by his role as President of the Lubbock County Club for one term and Past President of the Lubbock Bass Club—honors bestowed upon him in recognition of his leadership and community involvement.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patsy Nicholas; sons, Dustin Nicholas and his wife Ashley of Lubbock, and Jonathan Nicholas and wife Jacy of the Woodlands; three grandchildren, Lola, Palmer and Bliss; and siblings, James (Nick) Nicholas, Timothy Nicholas, and Teresa Hunt.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm, Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Venue on Broadway, located at 2202 Broadway. A Celebration of Life will take place from 5:30-8:00 pm, Friday, June 26, 2026 at Escondido Grill Pavilion, 701 Regis Street. The family invites you to join them for food, drinks and time to come together and remember Tony...dress is casual attire. A private burial will take place.
