Vernon Wayne Gee, 80, passed away June 12, 2026, in Lubbock, TX. He was born April 10, 1946, to Cloe C. and Julia Barbee (Hardage) Gee, in Clovis, NM. Vernon served his country, joining the United States Army; serving from 1963 – 1965, during the Vietnam war.

Vernon married Billie Darlene Dozier on 12-01-1966; they were married for 52 years (until her passing in 2018); and to this union they had 3 children, Randall, Eric, and Julia. Vernon went back to school, attending South Plains college, and received his degree as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. His love and specialties were CCV/Cath Lab. Vernon enjoyed billiards and was active in several billiard leagues in Lubbock, and a member of the Church of Christ.

Vernon was preceded in death by his father and mother, Cleo and Julia, his wife, Billie, a sister, Donna, and a brother, C.W. Those remaining to cherish his memories are his children, Randall Gee of Edmonds, WA., Eric Gee, of Lubbock, TX., and Julia Gee of Midland, TX; his siblings, Deborah Gaye Wooten of Lubbock, TX., and Kimberly Suzanne Vernon of Leander, TX.
