Anita Rayette Meyer, 73, of Lubbock, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022. She was born to Ray Olen Burch and Arlene Miller on May 16, 1949, in Lubbock, Texas. Anita grew up in Lubbock where she attended Lubbock High School and graduated in 1969. She was married to Earnest Wesley Meyer.

She served for many years as a cashier at K-Mart and United Supermarkets, where she was awarded with “Employee of the Year” for her works. Anita was a member of the Christian faith.

Anita is survived by her sons, Brent (Whitney) Meyer and Mark (Misty) Meyer. Along with grandchildren Tucker Meyer, Logan Meyer, and Harper Meyer. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 5:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the Venue on Broadway. Services will be on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 10:00a.m. at First Baptist Church in Slaton, Texas. Internment will be at Englewood Cemetery following the service on Wednesday.
