Juanita Rosas

Juanita (Valdez) Rosas, 78, of Lamesa, passed away Sunday morning, June 26, 2022. Juanita was born on December 27, 1943, in Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas to the late Isadoro Valdez and Petra (Martinez) Valdez.

She married Luis Rosas in Edinburg, Texas and he preceded her in death in 2003. She was a homemaker, loved her children and was very family oriented. Juanita loved to cook, sew, knit and taking care of her plants in the garden. She was brought up in the Catholic faith.

Those left to cherish and honor her memory include five sons, Johnny Rosas and wife Victoria of Lubbock, Martin Rosas and wife Mable of Tahoka, Joe Luis Rosas and wife Paticia of Lubbock, Fred Rosas and wife Sonia) of Tahoka, Epi Rosas and wife Michelle of O'Donnell; one daughter, Rose Rosas of Tahoka; one brother, Jesse Valdez and wife Elodie of Odessa; two sisters, Maria Garcia of Hereford, Linda Baez and husband Danny Navarrette; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Delores Rosas, 1 brother and 2 sisters.

A time of visitation and reflection for Juanita will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Combest Family Funeral Home Chapel in Tahoka. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, July 1, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in O'Donnell, 701 Standefer Street. Final rites and interment will follow in the O'Donnell Cemetery under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes.
